瑞岳院龍門近くの渓流に砂防ダムを建設する工事が始まりました。工事は来年3月まで続く予定です。

ダム建設工事に伴い、物資搬出入のための道路が新設されます。新道路は山の神神社近辺から龍門まで伸びるもので、既存の山道と並行した山側斜面に造られることになりました。現在、新道路に沿って木の伐採が始まっています。龍門後方にある木々も伐採され、今までとは違って明るい景色が広がるようになりました。

工事中はトラックや工事関係車両が交通が多くなることが予想されます。上山される皆様は充分お気を付け下さい。日中は工事の音も多少はしますが、夜間や早朝の坐禅時はいつも通りの静けさです。

Construction of a mudslide-control dam on a small river nearby Dragon gates of Zuigakuin started. The construction will continue until March 2011.

A new road will be also constructed for transporting supply for the dam construction.  The new road will extend from a vicinity of the shrine of Mountain gods to the Dragon gates in parallel to the existing mountain road on the mountain hill side. Presently, trees on a route of the new road are being cut down. Now, the most of trees behind the Dragon gates are gone, providing new brighter look of the Zuigakuin entrance.

It is expected to have more traffic on the mountain road to Zuigakuin during the construction.  Please be careful with unexpected heavy traffic when you hike or drive to Zuigakuin. In Zuigakuin, you may hear distant sound and noise from the construction during the daytime, but during morning and night Zazens you can enjoy usual quietness and tranquility of Zuigakuin.
